A post from me two days in a row. How about that! With the national around the corner I figured it’s now or never.
The market once again swung in the favor of buyers large as soft sales continued in June. With only on notable sale for the month, a 2021 Panini Prizm Sabrina Ionescu Black Prizm 1/1, the WNBA card market reflected the rest of the market by and large.
The highest sales for the month were filled with the usual suspects, Bird, Stewie, Taurasi, and the aforementioned Sabrina.
There remains a rather large amount of inventory on the market, especially slabs, which appears to be compounding the overall cautious approach many are taking right now.
After all, is it really rare if you can bid or buy one every week?
Sabrina Once Again Tops the Charts
You can add another accomplishment to Sabs All-Star season – the top selling WNBA card in June 2022.
Ionescu collectors and speculators continue to shell out four and five figures for her cards. Her triple double performance and flair for the dramatic has kept many in the game, despite the fact that most of her cards have plummeted in value since this time last year.
It’s not all doom and gloom though. $6,600 for a second year 1/1 of any athlete is a nice haul, and several of her lower population cards have held steady.
