Yo! What’s up my fellow collectors, flippers, and investors. You know what time it is. PSA POP count update time!

The slow down in PSA grading output continued during the month of June. The usual rookie cards and sets saw slight increases in their population.

In total, a little over 300 WNBA cards got a new plastic home in June. This is once again the lowest number of WNBA cards returned by PSA graders in a year.

There are now 20,639 WNBA cards in PSA slabs. There were 11,388 at the end of June 2021.

The combination of a slowing economy, dropping prices, and a lingering hangover from the euphoria from 20/21, has a lot people standing on the sidelines.

It’s an interesting time to be involved with WNBA cards. There are some great deals out there, but proceed with caution since no one can predict if an upswing is around the corner.

Ultra Modern WNBA Cards Make Up the Bulk of Submissions

The Panini years once again dominated the new submissions in the month of June. 2020 Panini Prizm WNBA and 2021 Panini Prizm WNBA both lead the way in terms of volume.

There is still a lot of inventory available on the market, which is leading to weaker prices for the ultra modern WNBA cards.

It also doesn’t help that the biggest catalyst for hobby growth, Sabrina Ionescu, can’t seem to get the Liberty out of the basement.

Top WNBA Cards See Minimal Growth in PSA POP Count

It looks like the flurry of submissions for many of the top WNBA rookie cards have finally died down.

Outside of the 2001 Fleer WNBA Tamika Catchings Rookie Card, no other card on our list saw much of a bump. This is a good thing for those who care about the law of supply and demand, given how much emphasis is placed on the overall rarity of key WNBA cards.

This is creating some of the better buying opportunities since 2019, as top WNBA rookie cards in PSA 9 or lower condition are seeing downward price pressures since they are readily available online.
