I’m back with a rundown of the top WNBA card sales on eBay in March 2023. The month was jam-packed with exciting sales. I can’t wait to dive into the details and discuss what these sales mean for the hobby.

Lisa Leslie: A Pinnacle Sale to Remember
The highest sale in March was the 1997 Pinnacle Inside WNBA Lisa Leslie Executive Collection PSA 10, which sold for a whopping $3,200. This card features the legendary Lisa Leslie, a pioneer of women’s basketball, in the rare Executive Collection parallel. Executive Collection parallels are highly condition sensitive.
The high sale price for this card is a testament to her iconic status in the sport and the rarity of this particular card as it is POP 1. This sale reinforces the notion that investing in WNBA cards of hall-of-fame players can yield significant returns. In this case, the buyer of this particular piece has already fielded offers from others at much higher prices.
Maya Moore: Rittenhouse Cards in the Spotlight
Next up, we have two 2011 Rittenhouse WNBA Maya Moore cards, with the RC PSA 10 selling for $2,393 and the Holding Jersey Auto PSA 10 going for $1,536. Maya Moore is undoubtedly one of the all-time greats, and her cards continue to attract interest from collectors and investors alike even with her recent retirement announcement.

The 2020 Panini Prizm WNBA Sabrina Ionescu Green Pulsar Prizm PSA 10 sold for $2,225, making it the third-highest sale of the month.
It’s no surprise why. As one of the most sought-after WNBA rookies in recent years, Sabrina Ionescu cards have been on collectors’ radars since her debut.
The Green Pulsar Prizm adds an extra layer of desirability as it has a print run of 25, and single digit POP count in PSA 10 condition adds a touch of rarity. Sabrina’s potential as a future superstar has collectors and investors eager to get their hands on her cards.

Sue Bird: Fleer Rookie Cards in Demand
Two Sue Bird cards from the 2002 Fleer series sold in March, with the Authentix WNBA PSA 10 card selling for $1,741 and the Ultra WNBA PSA Authentic PSA 10 Auto card going for $900. Sue Bird is a legend, boasting an incredible career with multiple championships and Olympic gold medals.
These sales underscore the importance of investing in cards featuring all-time greats, as their value tends to increase over time. Sue Bird is everywhere right now, and her cards in PSA 10 condition will continue to command premium’s from her growing collector base.
Breanna Stewart: Steady Interest From the Market
Breanna Stewart cards continue to be popular among collectors, with her 2016 Rittenhouse WNBA Draft Variation Auto PSA 10 card selling for $1,547 and her base rookie card going for $740.
The 2016 Rittenhouse WNBA Breanna Stewart Action Autograph BGS 9 card also sold for $550 in March. This card features an action shot of Stewart along with her autograph, which makes it particularly appealing to collectors. The BGS 9 grade, though not as high as a PSA 10, still indicates that the card is in excellent condition, making it a desirable addition to any collection. I thought this was a steal.
As arguably the best women’s basketball player on the planet, it’s no surprise that Breanna Stewart’s cards are highly sought after. Her recent Euroleague championship and Final Four MVP award is certainly adding fuel to demand for her cards.
2022 Panini Prizm WNBA: The Gold Vinyl Chase Continues
The 2022 Panini Prizm WNBA set saw several high sales in March.
The Becky Hammon Gold Vinyl 1/1 selling for $1,266.66 and the Skylar Diggins-Smith Widescreen Gold Vinyl 1/1 fetching $725 were notable sales. The popularity of these cards can be attributed to their scarcity, with the Gold Vinyl 1/1 cards being the rarest and most valuable in the 2022 WNBA Prizm release.
Collectors are always on the lookout for these limited-edition cards, as they represent a unique opportunity to finish a rainbow or own something no one else has.
Panini Prizm WNBA Series: More Sales Worth Mentioning
In addition to the previously mentioned 2022 Panini Prizm WNBA cards, several other notable sales from this set include the Sue Bird Black Gold Prizm /5 selling for $520.15, the Sabrina Ionescu Mosaic Prizm /3 going for $500.20, and the Brittney Griner Far Out Gold Vinyl 1/1 fetching $500. The popularity of these limited-edition cards highlights the growing interest in the WNBA card market, as collectors and investors alike scramble to secure these rarer pieces.
Another standout sale from the 2022 Panini Prizm WNBA series is the Breanna Stewart W25 Black Gold Prizm BGS 9 card, which sold for $500. This card features a WNBA logo monogram in the “love it or hate it” black and gold design. It’s a strong sale given that Black Gold Prizm’s are not as desirable as Gold Prizm’s with collectors today.
A’ja Wilson and Candace Parker: Aces Cards on the Rise
Rounding out the top 25 sales, we have the 2018 Rittenhouse WNBA A’ja Wilson PSA 10 card, which sold for $550. A’ja Wilson, the 2018 WNBA Rookie of the Year, 2020, 2022 WNBA MVP, and 2022 WNBA Champion has quickly established herself as one of the league’s premier players.
A’ja Wilson cards have garnered significant interest from collectors and investors alike the last three years, but this sale demonstrates that even MVP’s and titles do not drive prices for players to the moon. Compared to other players with similar resumes, A’ja’s cards continue to be undervalued.
The sale to mention is a 2008 Rittenhouse WNBA Candace Parker BGS 9 that sold for $449.58. As a two-time WNBA MVP and one of the most accomplished players in the league, Candace Parker’s cards are highly sought after by collectors. The BGS 9 grade on this card is actually a great grade, as the 2008 Rittenhouse WNBA set is highly condition sensitive.
With her move to the Las Vegas Aces this year, Candace Parker cards could continue to rise interest and value, especially if she finishes her Hall of Fame career with another ‘chip.
